Enjoy your candle carefully. Always follow the warning label supplied with the product. If the label gives stricter instructions than this page, follow the label.
Before lighting
- Remove all packaging and place the candle upright on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep it away from draughts, vibrations, children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Trim the wick to approximately 6 mm before each burn and remove debris from the wax.
- Check the vessel for cracks, chips or other damage. Do not use a damaged candle.
While burning
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep burning candles at least 10 cm apart and away from curtains, paper, shelves and other combustible materials.
- Do not move or touch the candle while it is burning or the wax is liquid.
- On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly toward the vessel’s edge where safe.
- Do not burn for more than four hours at a time.
- Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes unusually high, repeatedly flickers, smokes excessively or the vessel appears overheated.
Extinguishing and reuse
- Use a candle snuffer where possible. Do not use water.
- Confirm the flame is completely extinguished and the wick is no longer glowing.
- Allow the wax and vessel to cool fully before handling, trimming or relighting.
- Stop using the candle when approximately 13 mm of wax remains, or earlier if required by the warning label.
If a safety concern, crack, fault or unusual burning behaviour develops, extinguish the candle, stop using it and contact Hello.tentenco@gmail.com. Keep the candle, vessel, packaging and order information while the matter is assessed.
